Page count and page number in Docs
One of the 2 new Google Apps updates to Docs this week makes it possible for users to add page count and page numbers to either the footer or the header of a document.
For you to add page numbers to either the footer or the header of a document click on Insert > Page number.
As for page count, its purpose is for users to add page numbers for each document. Combining both page count and page number features grant users the ability to come up with more advanced footers and headers.
For you to be able to create page count on Docs, here’s what you have to do.
- Click on Insert > Header.
- Click on the right align icon found on the toolbar for you to be able to move the cursor to the upper right part of the page.
- Click on Insert > Page number > Top of page for you to add numbers to the document header.
- Type “of”.
- Click on Insert > Page count for you to add the total number of pages on the document’s header.
One click printing with Google Cloud Print
Early this year, Google announced Google Cloud Print for mobile Docs which allowed for printing from any device or app, browser, operating system without the need of any software installation.
To use mobile printing, you first need to connect your printer with Google Cloud Print. Once this is done, all you need to do is choose the document you want to print and click on Actions > Print found at the bottom of the toolbar.
For the time being, Google Cloud Print can be used with spreadsheets and document.
