How To Fix Google Talk Installation Problem

Are you having problems in installing Google Talk? Are you experiencing installation failure on Windows? If you are having problems with your Google talk plugin, then don’t fuss for we have created a few simple thing that can get your Google Talk plugin up and running in no time.

Starting with:

1. Remove your old Google Talk through your Control panel.

2. Go to your Windows registry then search and delete your “googletalkplugin.msi”. Also search and delete “googletalkpluginaccel.msi”. You have to make sure that everything that has to do with your old Google talk is removed from the registry.

3. Check on C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\ and delete the folder.

4. Restart your computer.

5. Download and reinstall the plugin from the Google Talk page.

If you did everything correctly you will now be able to install Google talk without any hitch and start chatting from your browser.

    unable to remove google talk plugin with control panel add remove programs tool.  how in the hell can i get rid of it?

    I also cannot remove this plugin through my add/remove programs. I have vista, could this possibly be the problem?

    i am not able to install gtalk in my program files in c: drive. it is showing ”select other location to install the application. you have no permission to use the loaction”. can u solve my problem

      Same problem here. unable to remove old Google Talk plugin from the Add/remove panel. receiving fatal error every time I attempted to install the new plugin..

     Check the version of the installed Google Talk plugin. For me it is 1.9.2.0 .
    I have downloaded the msi file from http://rghost.net/5046322. During change/uninstall process provide this msi name. It got uninstalled completely from my PC. installed latest version after that :-)

     I am having trouble with uninstalling the plugin as a user i can see the plugin in control panel but cant remove it. I cant even find it if i try doing it as an admin. I have tried using a program uninstaller and that didn’t even work.

    cant remove voice plug in from add/remove panel keeps saying that networks resource in unavailable, it is looking for googletalkpluginaccel.msi  and it is missing, how can I reinstall it in order to remove using add/remove panel and follow steps you mention above?

    last 3days i can’t sign in on gtalk.i don’t know what’s problem on pc or gtalk,even my friends can not sign in gtalk on my pc.every time show me notification like could not connect to the google talk service(error no…………),but i can sign in my mail id……….. plz help me

    there is no folder “google talk” under the google folder.
